On the Lookout

During this summer my husband has had the opportunity of working at 

BYU's West Mountain Astronomy Observatory.  

Along with watching out for stars and exoplanetary systems up there... you also want to keep a close watch out for rattlesnakes.  My husband says there are tons of them up there, maybe more this year because of the drought and heat.  He brought home these rattles as souvenirs for our kids.  Pretty awesome!

Show me the loot!

On the 30th of July, my husband came back from his 8week internship in DC. Of course the kids were very happy to see he brought them all gifts from his ventures.

Daddy also came back just in time to celebrate my oldest boy's birthday. Can you guess what he wanted his party theme to be?

It's so hard to say goodbye...

My little 2 year old loves daddy so much. She hates to see him leave for school. She waves goodbye, blows kisses and signs I love you. How is that for a heart breaker?

Thank goodness daddy is easy going enough.... it might be a while before my daughter learns how to really get attention from boys.... she's too young anyway... but do you think she will ever master the art of flirting?.... was I that way???.... never mind.

Fly me to the moon!

My husband celebrated his birthday last fall. This was the cake I made for him since he is studying Astrophysics.

I'll take that kind of work any day!

My husband went to Puerto Rico to give a science presentation. He said he had to do homework most of the time..... but what a view, what a view.

Next time he is taking me with him!!!
