Warning....

I just love that my kids found it easier to write a note of warning rather than pick up the dangerous object that fell on the floor.

Fat Lady....

My 8yr. old daughter drew this picture of a fat lady. She giggled while explaining the drawing to me...

"it shows how the lady grew so big that her legs got weak and wobbly. Finally they gave out completely until she fell over and couldn't stand up anymore."

9yr. old humor...

I thought this was clever. My son made up this joke... or at least he said he made it up. It does sound like something off the wrapper of a laffy-taffy but I wouldn't put it past him to make up a joke like this. Either way, it was cute to see how much fun he had telling it. "Why did the blue butter punch the red butter?"......

......"Because he unsalted him."

Manna From Heaven

I could hear my 5yr. old boy fumbling around in the kitchen and humming to himself. I peeked around the corner to see what he was up to. He had found a bag of hamburger buns and was carefully drizzling honey on the bread. He looked up to see me standing there watching him and proudly said, "look mommy! I'm making manna."

Notice!

When my husband was tucking the kids in bed, he smacked his head on the upper bunk. So my son made this sign to help avoid any further accidents. :)

Breakfast with the Guys

Me and my sisters-in-law were gone for a weekend to Time Out for Women http://deseretbook.com/time-out/events_2010 Something we enjoy doing together every year!!

Well my son was upset that I was leaving and decided to plan a get together with all the guys. My brothers-in-law all had other plans but it was so cute to see this invitation my son made. He loves getting together with family!

Look out Jackie Chan!

My son C* was showing his Aunt some karate moves (just ones he made up, he's never taken a class). After a few swift kicks he takes a deep breath and stands confidently. Proudly he says,

"Yeah, I know a little karate, It's just one of those God-given-gifts He just decided to bless me with right now."

Faster Than the Speed of Sound

My oldest was sitting in the backseat of the car when we were driving past the Science building where daddy studies.

This cute little 7yr. old said, "Guess what mommy?"
"What?" I asked
"Nothing is faster than the speed of sound."
"Really?" I said
He thought for a minute and then said, "Well nothing is faster than the speed of sound EXCEPT for God's blessings."
