Birthdays

We've had a couple of birthdays recently.   I can't do all the crazy fancy stuff some moms do for birthdays but I can throw in a few thematic things just for fun.

  

My daughter wanted a beach theme and my son wanted a super hero theme. Here's some pictures from their parties:

I'm pretty sure most every mother is biased towards how beautiful her own children are.... but I'm also pretty sure that my children are BEAUTIFUL and that's NOT just because I'm biased.

Snow to Go

We haven't had much snow on the valley floor this year so I took the kids up into the canyons to one of our sledding spots. We'll have to spend more Saturdays like this, it was so much fun!

 

"The Mitten"

My kids did a play with their school class based off a book called, "The Mitten" by, Jan Brett It was such a simple little play but it was so fun to watch.

Paper, Strings and Sculpey Things

Put my son in a room full of paper, markers, tape, strings and sculpey and he would be in HEAVEN!! This is what he would do all day & all night long if he didn't have to stop to eat and sleep.

Sculpey

My youngest son's new favorite thing is Sculpey. He's showing me his snowplow he made. This stuff keeps him busy for hours. Plus it's very affordable. Love it!

Snowman

This is a snowman my kids built all by themselves. I love what they did with his hair!

Football Season

My oldest is really into football this season. I found some cheap tickets for him and my husband on the classifieds. So cheap... and as you can see it was the furthest row back. But he didn't care, he was just glad to be at the game! That's my boy!

After all these Friday night games of course, the boys want to practice their tackling skills.... My younger son decided to make a "helmet" out of a milk jug. It kept falling off ... just like the BYU player's helmets XD

First day of school.... two out of three are happy.

After home schooling for these past two years, I've finally decided to do a little something of a mix between home school and public school. My kids are doing a charter school that has a multiple age program, smaller classrooms, elective days and one day off a week for home school. I think this will be a better mix for me.

Although, from the pictures you can see that my oldest wasn't happy about his first day but the younger two were thrilled!

Favorite Things

Old duck feathers, empty egg shells, Styrofoam plates, paint and strings....

these are a few of his favorite things.

My 2nd boy loves to make stuff out of whatever he can find.

He does it all on his own without any help from me. He's so innovative. I love it!
