Warning....

I just love that my kids found it easier to write a note of warning rather than pick up the dangerous object that fell on the floor.

Watching...

My 3 year old likes to have Minnie watch her as she eats her cereal.

Daddy Loves His Girls

Bless my husband's heart, school has taken quite a toll on him this semester. On Valentines Day we hardly got to see each other. But, I must give him credit because even though his schedule was jammed packed that day he still made sure he kept the tradition of giving a single rose to each of his girls (including me.) It made our day!
That evening, I made my traditional chocolate covered strawberries and heart shaped sugar cookies for him. I ran up to campus while he was taking a test, snuck the treats into his study room and heart attacked the door.

Beautiful Girl

I just love this picture of my 8yr old daughter. I can't believe she's almost 9! Man where does the time go?

"The Mitten"

My kids did a play with their school class based off a book called, "The Mitten" by, Jan Brett It was such a simple little play but it was so fun to watch.

Paper, Strings and Sculpey Things

Put my son in a room full of paper, markers, tape, strings and sculpey and he would be in HEAVEN!! This is what he would do all day & all night long if he didn't have to stop to eat and sleep.

Lord Farquad Here and There

When my brother was serving in the Navy, he and his roommate bought a knight, named him Lord Farquad and had him standing guard outside their apartment. It was stolen. They found it later a few miles away hanging from a tree. They untied him and brought him back to their place only to have it stolen again for good.

After my brother finished his service in the Navy he settled down and got married. One day my brother was shopping with his in-laws at Hobby Lobby. There, he saw his long-lost Lord Farquad. Excitedly, he told his in-laws all about the knight he used to have and how this one looked just like it. His in-laws surprised him and bought him this one for Christmas.
When I stayed at my brother's house in Texas this knight stood at the foot of the bed. (Kinda spooky in the dark.) It made me laugh because it reminded me of the knight my kids have at their school. Only slightly different, it's Lord Farquad 2!!! :)
